Before you leave, bring in your route. The app lays the trip out day by day, shows the national park sites within reach of it, and writes something for every child for each day. One button saves it all to the phone before you lose signal.
Out there the saved days work with no signal — which matters, because the best views have the worst coverage. The phone notices each new state you cross, offers a two-minute moment as you near somewhere worth knowing, and turns a fuel stop into a math problem for each child.
Afterwards you have every state you crossed, the Junior Ranger badges, a weekly postcard you sent the grandparents, and a family yearbook you can print or save as a PDF.

Moving up is one way
You can move from Adventure Mode to the full homeschool version at any time, but not back again — the two are priced differently. If you move up partway through a month, you only pay the difference for that month. Everything your kids did in Adventure Mode comes with you as extracurricular activity: it stays in their record and you can still export it, but it isn’t graded and doesn’t count as finished lessons or skills. The full version finds each child’s level fresh when you move up, so nobody starts in the wrong place.

Adventure Mode, answered.
Do I have to homeschool?
Not at all. Adventure Mode is made for families whose kids are in regular school. Nothing about homeschooling shows up unless you move up to the full version.
What will it cost?
Free for families in the first beta. After that, Adventure Mode will cost a lot less than the full homeschool version, paid monthly or yearly. We’ll publish prices before anyone pays a cent. Because the prices differ, you can move up to the full version later, but not back down. Move up partway through a month and you only pay the difference for that month.
Is it only for national parks?
No. National park sites and historic places are built in, but any stop can become an adventure — a small-town museum, a farm, a beach. You can add any place in a few taps and get something for each child there.
Can we move to the full homeschool version later?
Yes, whenever you like, and everything your kids have done comes with you. It’s a one-way move: once you’re on the full version, you can’t switch back to Adventure Mode. If you cancel the full version, your records are kept for sixty days, and you can come back to the full version with everything as you left it. After that they’re deleted for good, so starting Adventure Mode later means starting fresh.
Can our trips count toward my child’s school?
Yes, as extracurricular activity. Every stop, activity and photo is kept, and you can download all of it whenever you like. It’s a record, not a grade. If you move up to the full version, it all comes with you as extracurricular activity, not as finished lessons or skills.
Will my kids be stuck on a screen?
The opposite. The activities happen out in the world — measuring, spotting, drawing, exploring. The phone mostly stays in your pocket.
Our promise about Adventure Mode
It will never feel like the real app with pieces taken out. Everything to do with homeschooling — state rules, subject tracking, “where should my child be?” — is hidden in this mode, not greyed out and dangled in front of you. If you never move up, you’ll never notice it was there.
